Our Founder Story

HighSchoolMower began with a need — and a neighbor. Abby, a busy mom, wanted to help an elderly neighbor with her overgrown yard, but couldn't step away from work and family duties. Her son Matt, a high schooler with a knack for tech and a heart for helping, offered to mow it. After that, other neighbors began asking too.

That's when Matt teamed up with his friend Tamjid, a talented developer, to build something bigger — a platform where students like him could offer services, and neighbors could find trustworthy, local help quickly.

What started with one yard and one neighbor has grown into a community-driven way to support students and strengthen neighborhoods. HighSchoolMower is our way of helping students earn and grow — one lawn at a time.
